Chapter Ten - Tips for Getting Your Elopement Photos Taken Around Las Vegas
As a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful moments for couples in this crazy city. Here are some tips to help you get the best photos during your wedding or elopement in Las Vegas:
1. Choose me! Joseph Henry Photography
I’ve been shooting weddings for over 12 years now and still absolutely loving it! As a full-time portrait and wedding photographer worldwide, I’ve seen it all. Big weddings, small weddings, expensive lavish weddings, small budget elopements, castles on top of mountains and drive thru Elvis weddings. You want to make sure your photographer makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, knows how to handle lighting, knows how to handle a stressful situation and has the stamina to work all day long! I love this life, taking photographs of couples in love has taken me around the world and given me so much knowledge, however, I understand that my schedule is busy and your schedule is tight, so if you’re not going to hire me, when choosing a photographer, make sure to look at their portfolio and see if their style matches what you're looking for. It's also important to work with someone who has experience shooting elopements. You want someone who can capture the essence of your love story and the beauty of Las Vegas.
2. Pick the perfect location
Las Vegas has so many beautiful locations to choose from, whether you want to elope in the desert, on the Strip, or in a chapel. Think about what kind of scenery you want in your photos and choose a location that matches your vision.
3. Plan your elopement around the lighting and weather
The lighting in Las Vegas can be harsh and extremely hot during the day, so consider planning your event for early morning or late afternoon when the light is softer and more flattering. This will help your photos look their best. I understand the location has tight schedules, but try your hardest to pick a good time, if you’re inside, that’s fine, but if your wedding/elopment,engagement is outside, please be weary of the sun an the weather. No one wants to stand outside in the sun for hours.
4. Dress for the occasion
Las Vegas is a city of glitz and glamour, so don't be afraid to dress up for your elopement photos. Choose outfits that make you feel confident and beautiful, and that match the vibe of your location. This is a big day for you and your significant other, so take advantage of being in front of my camera all day!
5. Have fun and be yourselves
The most important thing is to have fun and be yourselves during your elopement. Your photographer will be there to capture all the special moments, so relax and enjoy the experience.
By following these tips, you can ensure that your elopement photos in Las Vegas will be beautiful and memorable.
